Christopher Wharton

Founder, Contractor genesis

I’m Christopher Wharton.

If you’re up for listening, I’ll talk about myself and where I started on this page.

I saw a common problem with many contractors and service business owners: finding profitable projects on a predictable, on-demand basis.

That’s why I started Contractor Genesis.

We help companies grow and profit massively with intelligent solutions. These solutions help you interact with and inform your customers and simplify your operations.

My clients are some of the fastest-growing contracting companies and we are helping them achieve it more efficiently in their respective markets online.

Shoot me a line if you’d like to see if we can help.

Professional and nonprofessional experience

Boots on the ground

  • I was a tradesman and contractor first and foremost. This led me to start a business solving the very problems that annoyed me the most.
  • My first business: cutting grass at 8 years old in Groveport Ohio.
  •  First job I had: Installing furnaces and heat pumps with Dad at age 10.
  • Family roots and hobbies includes farming and homesteading, building rustic furniture and enjoying the rolling landscape of southeast Ohio.

Other work i've done

  •  When not working in the trades, I always enjoyed working in agriculture. Started small with simple gardening and eventually graduated to operating combines and bulldozers in my spare time. Not for everyone, but I love getting behind the wheel of a big machine.
  •  Took some years outside the United States to teach English and American sports to children in different countries around the world.
  • I’m a huge fan of everything outside. Winter sports, summer activities, and everything that goes with it, the list is too long.

things other than work

  • Traveling around the world is my favorite thing. I’ve scratched 15 countries off the list and managed to live in 4 of them.
  • I like teaching the next generation hard work and innovation. I like to learn by experience, getting out of the comfort zone and encourage everyone to do the same.
  • In any given year you can see me go from working in the field back in Ohio, teaching sports and culture in a village somewhere, and fishing, exercising, and enjoying nature everywhere and anywhere between.
